This is a phase 2a, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled pilot clinical trial determining the impact of riluzole therapy on circulating brain derived neuropathic factor (BDNF) levels in cancer survivors (recently completing prior treatment regimens) or patients who have received whole brain radiation for benign or malignant tumors with cancer related cognitive impairment.

Summary

G-COR is the first Global Prospective Cardio-Oncology Registry. It is a multinational, multicenter prospective observational cohort registry, with the goal of collecting clinical, laboratory, imaging, demographic, and socioeconomic data to identify risk factors associated with increased incidence of cancer therapy related cardiovascular toxicity (CTR-CVT) in different settings and to derive and validate risk scores for cardio oncology patients treated in different geographic locations throughout the world.

Summary

This study is a multiple cohort, multicenter, open-label Phase 1 study with dose-escalation substudies investigating intravenous (IV) BAL0891 as monotherapy, and in combination with tislelizumab or paclitaxel, to determine the safety and tolerability of increasing doses of BAL0891 in patients with advanced solid tumors or relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia. An adaptive model-based design will be used to guide the dose escalation. Subject assignment to Substudy 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be finalized following approval from the investigator and sponsor. The dose-expansion stage will be conducted with the RP2D to further evaluate the preliminary anti-tumor activity, safety, and tolerability in metastatic TNBC and GC.

Summary

Chemotherapy-induced cognitive disorders, such as memory problems, slowness of execution, inability to concentrate, and language difficulties, are sequelae that occur in patients undergoing chemotherapy or who have received chemotherapy. These symptoms lead to a degradation of the patients' quality of life and can have a significant social and familial impact. They are most commonly described in solid oncology, particularly in patients with breast cancer. Data about patients with hematological malignancies are scarce, but they seem to show the same phenomenon as in solid oncology. Indeed, many chemotherapies are used both in hematology and solid oncology and may therefore cause similar effects on cognition. Additionally, due to their mechanism of action, some chemotherapies specifically used in hematology could induce cognitive disorders. Hematology-treated patients are probably also affected by these disorders and may consequently experience a reduced quality of life. The objective of this study is to assess the changes in cognitive functions in patients receiving chemotherapy for the treatment of hematological malignancies, using neuropsychological tests and a self-administered questionnaire, compared to a control group, as well as their potential impact on quality of life, fatigue, anxiety, and depression.

Summary

This Phase 1/2 study evaluates the safety, feasibility, and preliminary anti-tumor activity of allogeneic donor-derived CAR-NK cells in participants with advanced solid tumors. The CAR target antigen is selected for each participant after tumor profiling using a tissue biopsy and/or liquid biopsy. Participants will receive either a single-target or dual-target CAR-NK product based on the antigen profile.
